Other admission criteria

All undergraduate students applying to Trent are automatically considered for Trent University Entrance Scholarships that are awarded based on academic excellence. These range in value from CAN $1,000 to CAN $3,000 and are non-renewable. Final average calculated on academic subjects only. 

Final Average: 95%+ – CAN $3,000; 90% – 94% – CAN $2,500; 85% – 89% – CAN $1,500; 80% – 84% – CAN $1,000

Eligibility Information: 

• Undergraduate international students joining Trent for any intake are eligible. 
• Post-graduate certificate students and Masters/PhD students are not eligible. 
• Minimum high school final average of 80% (Canadian Equivalent) is required.  
• Students on a Year/Term Study Abroad at Trent are not eligible for entrance scholarships
• ESL students are eligible for consideration; however, the scholarship is tenable for undergraduate studies (and not for ESL). 

Please note that: 

If eligible, students starting in Winter 2025 will receive the first installment (50%) in Winter 2025. The second and final installment will be applied in Fall 2025. 
If eligible, students starting in Summer 2025 will receive the first installment (50%) in Fall 2025. The second and final installment will be applied in Winter 2026. 
If eligible, students starting in Fall 2024 will receive the first installment (50%) in Fall 2024. The second and final installment will be applied in Winter 2026. 
The scholarship may be combined with the Prestigious Trent International Scholarships & Awards. 
This is a one-time non-renewable scholarship. However, as a continuing international student, you may be eligible for an in-course scholarship after the end of your first year at Trent which is renewable.
